When employees think the boss is unfair...

A really interesting bit of research into bias - or perceived bias. Some interesting findings that show certain categories of people (for want of a better word) perceive bias more often than others.. based on race and gender, and sexual orientation.

SO what you ask? The issue with perceived unfairness is its links to disengagement and other counter-productive work behaviours (including intentions to leave).

Organisational justice or fairness is an important part of your work place culture - if you've got a culture where people perceive you to be unfair you drive all kinds of negative behaviours, that ultimately will affect your bottom line!
