The 8 behaviours of great leaders... according to Google

Google has had a decent amount of bad press lately... first there was pay gap between male and female techies - and Google's absolute reluctance to share any data (and goodness knows they have enough of it!). Second thing was a memo that a Googler shared that in short basically said that women were different to men in how they performed their jobs because they were less emotionally robust, or words to that effect. Suffice to say that Googler made world headlines and is now longer a Googler.

However, Google does do a lot of good work in HR related areas and human behaviour at work because quite simply, it has the numbers to do the analysis. This article shares 8 behaviours that Google was able to identify that great leaders display... and its probably not surprising that empowerment and acting as a coaches are the top two on the list.
