Empowerment... at work

I've been doing a lot of reading lately on research into trust... and without trust you can't have empowerment, because that's trusting people to get on and do the job!

The trust research is showing that leaders who place trust in their people to get the job done also create more productive work places with higher engagement - and also that one other thing that you really want... discretionary effort!

I'd say from what I've been seeing in the research department lately that focus is now moving towards trust as a key driver of engagement, so this article is an informative read.
